Ingoldisthorpe
Neighbourhood Plan

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan is a way of recording the preferences and wishes of our village community in a way that will help to protect and improve it. More information can be found in this leaflet.

Why do we need a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan is our way of having a say in the future of our Village.  It means that our voice will be heard any time anyone wants to do something that affects our village.   The Neighbourhood Plan will be an important document which will sit alongside the King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council Local Plan. It will represent the views and aspirations of our community and can be referred to regarding local issues that are not covered by the Borough's Plan.

Our plan will give Ingoldisthorpe greater control over development, allowing us to influence the type, size, and location of development in the Parish; sitting alongside the Borough Plan, its policies, amongst others, will be used to determine planning applications.  It will be in place for approximately 15 years, so it is important we get it right – for present and future generations.

Consultation

Ingoldisthorpe Parish Council would like your help in creating a Neighbourhood Plan.   To get the ball rolling we would like you to complete this simple quick survey. The survey will run between Monday 4th March and Monday 1st April.

If you need support completing the form or more information volunteers will be on hand between 10.00am and 12noon on Saturday 16 March 2024 at the Ingoldisthorpe Sports and Social Club.

Participation is voluntary* and anonymous and, should you choose to take part, your time is very much appreciated. Please encourage all members of your household to complete this questionnaire individually – we would like responses from those under 18 years of age as well as adults, and permanent residents, second homeowners and businesses. There are no right or wrong answers or opinions. Please answer the questions as well as you can. If you think something does not apply to you, please move on to the next question.

*By completing the survey, you consent to allowing your responses to be used by the Neighbourhood Planning project. All information will be stored securely on UK-based servers, compliant with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) rules.

You can complete the on-line survey by using the survey QR code or online link below:
